Pair of ABC Pilots Filming in Atlanta

Two pilots for potential ABC series are currently filming in the Atlanta area. Inspired by John Mayer’s song of the same name (from his 2006 album Continuum), the drama Heart of Life concerns two adults from decidedly different backgrounds and lifestyles who discover they’re actually siblings, sharing the same father. Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters, Red Band Society, pictured), Harry Shum Jr. (Glee) and Katie Findlay (The Carrie Diaries) are starring. Anne Fletcher (Dumplin’) will direct from a script by Ben Queen (creator of NBC’s Powerless). Then there’s The Baker and the Beauty, a romantic comedy that’s been shooting in Atlanta and Tucker. Based on a popular Israeli series, it follows the unlikely romance between a blue-collar baker and an international superstar. Victor Rasuk (the Fifty Shades trilogy), Nathalie Kelley (the Dynasty reboot), Michelle Veintimilla (Firefly on Gotham) and David Del Rio (Nickelodeon’s The Troop) have been tapped to star. Co-executive producer David Frankel (episodes of Sex and the City, Entourage) will direct the pilot episode.
