A Man Called Ove

Serio-comedic character study of a retiree who’s a stickler for community rules but has no patience for the modern world. Ove just isn’t going to go out with a whimper, though he tries to at every turn only to have his suicide attempts interrupted by his new noisy Persian neighbors, the whiteshirt scum racing through the neighborhood and a pesky abandoned cat. In a world where the solution to any problem is someone saying “let’s have lunch,” memories of his rise in the workforce and of his recently deceased wife play against his presence in the lives of so many others, as the audience grows more and more empathetic with the isolated curmudgeon!
