New LP From The Feelies Due Feb 24

Not content to stick with playin’ the oldies during their current state of reactivity, The Feelies released a solid album called Here Before back in 2011 (geez, has it really been that long ago?), and lo-and-behold, now they’ve gone and recorded another one. Look for Bar/None Records to release In Between on February 24th. The album was tracked at guitarist Glenn Mercer’s home in Haledon, New Jersey, where the group rehearses, resulting in what Mercer told Impose Magazine is a “lot more relaxed and laid back” approach.

Now if we could only convince these eccentric old buggers to play outside a 200-mile radius of Hoboken, or whatever self-imposed restrictions are preventing them from doing a show in Atlanta. They have yet to play here since reforming in 2008, and rarely venture outside of the Northeast anymore. That old habit needs to change, dag nabbit!
