Atlanta Possessed by Conjuring 3, Annabelle 3

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will return as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring 3, which is projected to begin production in Atlanta in early June. James Wan, who helmed the first two Conjurings, is still on board as a producer along with Peter Safron, but Michael Chaves (the upcoming Conjuring spin-off film The Curse of La Llorona) will be directing this one, based on one of the Warren’s case files about a man on trial for murder who claims to have been possessed at the time of the crime. In the meantime, the upcoming third film in the Conjuring Universe’s offshoot series of Annabelle movies will be undergoing some reshoots or additional scenes at Pinewood early in April after finishing principal photography in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, California last autumn. Screenwriter Gary Dauberman is directing Annabelle Comes Home, in which the Warrens (Wilson and Farmiga, again) bring the creepy possessed doll home and lock it under glass, hoping to prevent further havoc. Yeah, that ends well. McKenna Grace (Designated Survivor), Emily Brobst (Netflix’s The Highwaymen) and Katie Sarife (YouTube Premium’s Youth & Consequences) are also in the cast, although it’s unknown who among them (if any) are involved in the Fayetteville shoots. Release date is June 28.
