Godzilla Sequel to Break In Blackhall Studios

Blackhall Studios (at one point announced as Valhalla Studios, before Valhalla Entertainment, producers of The Walking Dead, put the kibosh on that), a new metro Atlanta motion picture production facility, is opening this month. The space, in a former paint and wallcovering warehouse on Constitution Road in southwest DeKalb County, includes a 40,000 square foot soundstage, one that’s 30,000 square feet, and seven that are each 20,000 square feet. Supposedly, the first major production to set up shop there will be Godzilla: King of Monsters, the sequel to the 2014 monster fest, to be scripted and directed by Michael Dougherty (Krampus). There is also talk that there will also be scenes shot at Turner Field. Maybe Mr. Godzilla can finally plow down all those shabby, blighted buildings next to it.
