Clint Eastwood takes 208 seconds and delivers an edge-of-your-seat 90-minute film about Chesley Sullenberger, the veteran pilot who successfully guided US Airlines Flight #1549 into the Hudson River without a single casualty after losing both engines. The harsh scapegoating investigation conducted by the NTSD using controlled simulations only proved that Sully was smarter than anyone else in the room because of his experience and that he never lost sight of the fact that all 155 passengers were his responsibility, not just the machinery that got sunk. I used to deliver this guy’s newspaper when he had an apartment in Buckhead!
